The Normal Stream Department aims to make learning relevant to the pupils in Normal Academic and Normal Technical (NA/NT) classes through a fusion of academic and character development programmes. These programmes are tailors to suit the learning needs of NA/NT pupil profile. Thus, the department strived to engage the pupils to make their learning journey in school a purposeful and meaningful one.

Elective Modules

Through Elective Modules, the upper secondary NA/NT pupils also learnt the skills and work ethics of different industries.

Animation: Students will learned about story boarding and how to create a short animation clip with provided software.

Student's reflection:

Thiruvenkatesh: I have learned the importance of teamwork and work towards our given tasks.



Beautician: At the end of session, students will acquire the knowledge of basic facial/eye treatment, facial massage, professional make-up, nail art etc. Communications and customer service skills will also be taught during the session.

Student's reflection:

Fathila: I have learned about manicure and the range of facial products which catered to different skin conditions.





Sound Designer: This module challenge the students to the craft of foley artistry (creation and syncing of sound effects).

Student's reflection:

Darryl Tang: I have learnt to sync sound and visual with my selection of music, so as to change the look and feel of the advertisement.






Hospitality and Tourism: Introduce students to the experience of organizing both outbound & inbound tours. Foster a creative and entrepreneurial spirit amongst students with respect to the opportunities available in this growing service industry.

Student's reflection:

Razzak: During this elective period, I have learned to make mocktail for my teachers and friends. Learning journey was very experience.





Hairstyling: Students will acquire the skills of hair washing, cutting, colouring and styling. In addition, communications and customer service skills will also be taught at the end of module.

Student's reflection: 

Kris: I have learned the different techniques of hair trimming from the instructors.





Junior Chef: Students will learned to prepare a balance menu in Western or Asian cuisine. Kitchen Brigade-Organisation Structure & Operation will also be taught during the elective module period.

Li San: I have learned how to prepare delicious Asian cuisine (Eg. Chicken rice).
